Lebus rope groove
Lebus rope groove is originated in the United States, invented by
Frank.L. Lebus, the founder of LEBUS International Co., LTD.
Abroad, this kind of rope groove is generally called LEbus Grooves,
that is, for many rope grooves,
It is commonly known as the folding rope groove in China. Lebus
claims that the diameter of the wire rope using the folding rope
groove can be 100mm from 1mmDAO. The number of layers can reach 50
layers, the maximum diameter of the drum can reach 5m, the linear
speed of the wire rope can be unlimited.
According to the existing data, the maximum diameter of the wire
rope is 94RAM, used in Japan (sound Maru) ship's 500T crane, the
nominal diameter of the drum is 2094mm, the drum flange spacing is
1953mm, a total of 7 layers of winding.

High polymer nylon, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel,
aluminum and all kinds of high strength steel Q345, Q420, Q460,
20GrMo, 40GrMo, 42GrMo, etc
Characteristics and advantages of LEBUS
Ribas reel has a special key, is designed at the bottom of the reel
end flange (end insert) and extension pieces, they guide the wire
rope from the first layer to the second layer smoothly.
The folding groove makes the load evenly distributed between
layers, and the practice proves that the service life of the wire
rope is greatly prolonged. In fact, the test surface can extend
wire rope life by more than 500%. Reducing wire rope damage
increases safety and reduces machine downtime.
Disadvantages of LEBUS slots
The disadvantage of folding rope groove drum is that it is more
complex, so the price is a little more expensive than the spiral
rope groove drum. However, this additional cost is quickly
compensated for by the savings in wire rope, which is expensive and
takes up production time to replace
